THE CABO DE GATA MINING STORY

Introduction

The exhibition hall at the Rodalquilar Mines contains many rooms regarding the geological, industrial and ecological highlights of Andalucia. Specifically, however, there is a room dedicated to the history of mining in the Cabo de Gata. A series of posters illustrate this history. I have overlaid the Spanish text and put them in chronological order.

For those who would like a detailed look at a model of the mine, and an explanation of its component parts, there are four links after the posters.
